The author of the Millionaire Mind and the Millionaire Next Door interviewed hundreds of millionaires to discover their mindset and lifestyle. Honesty was one of the key factors he learned from the millionaires. Dishonesty is a sure recipe for failure in business and it is a key component in network marketing.

This point could not be stressed enough in those two books.

Plant Realistic Expectations

Many people quit so soon in network marketing because they are sold on hype, they are not told the truth. It is possible to make a lot of money, but if you tell them they can make a million dollars in a few months is not realistic. Professional network marketing is not done that way. With professional network marketing you would tell your prospects that it might be hard, maybe the hardest thing they ever did and they will be challenged.

Understand The Power of Residual Income Opportunities

Residual income opportunities in network marketing are abundant. Residual income is the secret to becoming wealthy. The super wealthy seek out all the residual income opportunities that make sense for them.

Think about what it would be like to be disabled and still have money flowing in and not from government handouts.

Or if you came down with some disease such as cancer or heart disease that put you in the hospital for days or weeks on end. Wouldn't it be comforting to know you still had money coming in even though you were laying in your hospital bed?

You can't be offended by rejection. Professional network marketing is not about forcing people to hear your story. If you are doing MLM the old way, then it is about sifting and sorting not convincing. Selling is not about pushing a product down someone's throat that doesn't want it or need it. Selling is about qualifying. With attraction marketing they qualify themselves through the marketing education process. With attraction marketing they are already convinced or close to it because they contacted you first. Attraction marketing is all about getting others to find you and contact you.

Don't Quit

If you step into this business, do your due diligence and count the costs up front and then jump in with both feet. If you understand that business in general is not easy and it takes time you will be more likely to endure. Professional network marketing is not made of quitters.
