Motivational DNA
Tamara Lowe Get Motivated Seminar Notes from the Get Motivated Seminar Everyone is motivated. Not everyone is motivated in the same way. What motivates one person can demotivate another. The danger for leaders and managers is to think that since you are motivated in a certain way then all your team members or employees are motivated the same way. It is a big mistake to have the same rewards or motivation plan for everyone in your organization. Motivation is not about pumping yourself up. God created everyone with a built in achievement code. You are created to be motivated in a certain way. The 3 Main Ingredients In Motivational DNA - Drive
- Needs
- Awards
Drive Start off with asking yourself what drives you or your followers. There are connectors and producers. Connectors are motivated based on relationships. Connectors enjoy the relationship with coworkers, they like the team cohesion and camaraderie. Connectors also buy based on relationships. Connectors are demotivated by conflict. Producers want results. Needs Ask yourself what is your needs, or your follower's needs. People have a need of stability or variety, constancy or change. Awards This is not about character. Awards fall into internal and external. Internally motivated peple would prefer being praised. If you are internally motivated you are driven to make a difference. People motivated externally would rather receive tangible bonuses. The Six Universal Motivators - Production

Tamara talked about her personal past. She said she used to take drugs and deal drugs. She has with her husband built a very profitable seminar business. She has worked with six different U.S. presidents and many of the super successful individuals throughout the world. She made a very interesting idea to consider that it is easy to see successful people on stage and think they had an easy life. The truth is most of them overcame extreme challenges. She stressed that your past does not determine your future. She is living proof of this being a drug addict and dealer. One of the most important lessons she learned was to get past her past and pleads for you and I to do the same. There are only two opinions that matter in life; God's opinion and your opinion. Worrying about what others think of you is a waste of time and life. Don't be the average person. The average person is content with paying bills and providing for his/her family. You as one person can change the world. Government is not the answer to your problems and don't rely on your government to save you. Excuses are unacceptable. Tamara Lowe is the author of the book Get Motivated.
